DeGrazia's Mission in the Sun

The last time I was in Arizona, I visited the DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun in Tucson. The art was mostly religious but it was worth visiting to see the adobe buildings built by Ted DeGrazia and the Yaqui and Tohono O'odham tribes. I also took a quick trip to Bisbee which is an old mining town in the mountains east of Tucson. It's now a cute tourist town home to many artists and musicians. I liked the laid back vibe and I felt more at home than when I visited Marfa which had an uppity feel to it.

I'm also finally wrapping up the paintings I started last year! I'm glad they’re finally done but I'm more excited about my landscape paintings that are inspired by trips to Hawaii and the Southwest. I'll share my progress on those next time...

The bismuth crystals painting is nearly done!

The king protea flower painting is almost finished.
